The Adelaide City Deal is a 10-year agreement between the Australian Government, the Government of South Australia and the City of Adelaide to grow Adelaide as an innovative and vibrant city. Governments are working together to deliver projects and initiatives that support the growth of businesses and jobs, encourage the growth of Adelaide’s population, and build on the city’s global reputation in the arts and culture.
Adelaide’s City Deal is delivering for SA, with the first annual report released in September showcasing a boost for the local economy through job creating investments. The report highlights how the Deal is leveraging Adelaide’s strengths to make the city an even better place to live, supporting local businesses and bolstering the city’s status as an innovation hub.
Lot Fourteen is now home to the Australian Institute of Machine Learning, the Australian Space Agency, with construction underway on the Australian Space Discovery Centre. The $649 million, 10-year Adelaide City Deal between all three levels of government is also building on the city’s global reputation as a cultural destination.
